Sleep out under the stars and cook your own meal - after finding your way over unknown countryside. Try canoeing, rock climbing, abseiling, mountain biking and overseas expeditions. Good at sports - or keen to have a go? We've got target shooting, football, athletics, cross country, swimming and many more.
Become proficient in map reading, first aid, fieldcraft, radios and weapon handling. Get involved with your town or village activities - parade in your uniform with pride on Remembrance Day, help with community projects.
The Army Cadet Force (ACF) is 150 years old and is a national voluntary youth movement. It is sponsored by the Army and aims to provide opportunities for young people to build their personal skills and self confidence so that they become responsible and caring citizens. Cadets and ACF adults are provided with army uniforms and ACF officers hold the Queen's Commission.

You need to be between 12 years old and 18 years and 9 months old, to join. We meet up one to two nights a week. Are you up to the challenge?

We are also look for adults over 18 years old who would like to become Army Cadet Leaders. You too will take part in the adventure of pot-holing or camping but you will also help your cadets to develop a sense of achievement, self esteem and working in a team. You will help them learn new skills, both physical and mental.What do you get from it?
As a leader, your self esteem is obviously rewarded, your abilities as a team builder and the capacity to handle pressure and responsibility are proven. This all looks good on your CV and should impress any employer. You will also receive up to 28 days pay per year plus, where appropriate, out of pocket expenses. You do need to be committed though, you will need to give up a couple of evenings a week, a weekend every month or so and go on a two weeks annual camp in the summer. You must be prepared to learn new skills and knowledge, achieve first aid qualifications or even your DoE Gold Award! To join or for more information click here.
