Her Majesty The Queen graciously approved the institution of The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal (QDJM) to celebrate the 60^{th anniversary of Her Majesty’s accession to the throne.}

The QDJM will be awarded to Members of the Armed Forces and MOD Emergency Service Personnel who will qualify if serving on 6 February 2012 and have 5 years previous service.
